The Apartments are very nice. The 2nd Floor Apartment has a master bedroom, three bedrooms total. The house has high ceilings, with a lot of light. The 2nd floor living and dining room - the afternoon light fills both rooms through the six large windows, reflecting off the hardwood. The living room, through the dining room into the hallway to two bedrooms and kitchen, extends about 40', a surprisingly large apartment. The windows look out into the lower canopy of surrounding trees with a consistent view of our quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The first floor apartment has slightly darker hardwood floors, with the original double swinging doors between the living and dining room unobtrusively maintaining the classic 1920 style. Two decent sized bedrooms, a full and half bath, and a linen closet fill out the space, and the apartment has a large foyer coat closet, an asset not often found in Highland Park homes. The1st floor apartment has the two pictured bedrooms. There is a 1 car width driveway the length of the home, the rear yard garage long gone is now a backyard patio space, with a rear yard surrounding it. The basement, accessible from the rear stairwell that has doors to both apartment kitchens, has two rooms separated, one can also be accessed from a door in the 1st floor apartment master bedroom, and then the basement includes a large area with separate water heaters and furnaces for each apartment. Both washers and dryers are included. No warranty. Haven't been used in a long time. A set is included for each apartment. There is a back stairwell that has access from the outside, and also provides access to the very large, unfinished attic with hardwood floors. It's quiet street, a short distance to Highland Park's main street, Raritan Avenue and in the other direction, down to Donaldson Park along the Raritan River. Bartle Elementary School is three blocks away, and all schools are within a short distance.
